Hearing Date Set – Serious Questions Loom Over May 9th Election

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

A major development is now confirmed: the official appeal of the May 9, 2025 LiUNA 1611 election will be heard on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 in Richmond. This hearing will be conducted before a panel of lawyers from the International LiUNA Union—a level of scrutiny that does not happen lightly.

Why is this significant? Because it signals that there are serious issues worth examining about how this election was handled. While we do not yet know every detail being raised in the appeal, the fact that it has progressed this far should make every member stop and think:

✅ Were proper procedures followed?

✅ Was every member given a fair chance to vote?

✅ Did the process reflect the integrity our union deserves?

These are not idle questions. Many members have already voiced concerns about irregularities—from how ballots were distributed to the way the process was overseen. The very existence of this appeal—and now a formal hearing—speaks volumes about whether the integrity of this election can truly be trusted.

If you have experiences, issues, or concerns related to the May 9th election—including any irregularities—you can email the Members First Team directly at teammembersfirst@gmail.com. Please send your submissions by August 8th. Your voice matters, and your input could make all the difference.

We stand firmly behind the principle that every election must be beyond reproach. If this process is found to have been flawed, members deserve nothing less than a fresh and fair vote.

We wish the Members First Team the very best as they move forward with this appeal. Many of you have told us, in no uncertain terms, that something didn’t feel right—and now the process itself is under a spotlight.

Stay tuned. This hearing could mark the beginning of restoring the trust every member is entitled to.

Your Voice. Your Union. Your Power.

In solidarity,

The Voice of the Members
